MONTREAL — The Montreal Canadiens announced today that centreman Dustin Boyd has been assigned to the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs.
The 6’00’’, 198 lbs forward, aged 24, played 10 games with the Canadiens this season. He tallied one goal, served two penalty minutes and registered eight shots on goal, while averaging 9:50 minutes of ice time per game. In career in the NHL, Boyd has collected 63 points (32-31-63) in 220 games.
Hailing from Winnipeg, Boyd was the Calgary Flames’ third pick (third round, 98th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. He signed with the Canadiens as a free agent on July 1, 2010.
