ESPN’s Mock Draft…….Habs select Corey Trivino with their #25 pick

NHL Central Scouting’s Chris Edwards on Corey Trivino:

“He has the ability to see the ice well and to move the puck. He needs to get stronger – he’s willing to battle, but isn’t always winning the puck. He’s got a good goal-scoring touch and he’s good on face-offs with good skating ability, not necessarily high-end skating, but good.”

Habster:

There is no way the Canadiens will select the 49th ranked Corey Trivino with their 25th selection while more talented prospects are still available. He has too many question marks in his game and only played at the OPJHL level which is decent hockey but a far cry from the CHL.

That’s the problem with U.S based media like ESPN, it doesn’t truly have a good idea what it’s talking about when it pertains to such detail oriented things as the NHL draft. They should hire or talk to an amateur NHL scout before making a mock draft………… Corey Trivino,……give me a break!!!!!
