WINNIPEG, MB — Hockey fans in Winnipeg came out in full force on Saturday night to support an array of NHL teams, as the Montreal Canadiens faced off against longstanding rivals the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Bell Centre. Tavern United was the scene for our second All Habs watch party in Winnipeg and our hockey-loving guests had plenty to cheer about! Tavern United offers multiple locations around the city, and our event took place right next door to the MTS Centre, home of the Winnipeg Jets.
The folks at Tavern made the All Habs Hockey Party group feel right at home with a specially-reserved section complete with multiple TV’s showing the game. Our server, Danielle, made sure we were well-fed and that our glasses were always full!
Our guests happily participated in our traditional All Habs Trivia Challenge during the first intermission, competing for some fabulous prizes donated courtesy of Tavern United and our prize sponsor, True Rivalry. True Rivalry produces great sports apparel that captures the true nature of the game – the competitiveness between fan bases. We had a taste of that kind of friendly opposition as we welcomed fans of the Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, Anaheim Ducks, Detroit Red Wings, and Washington Capitals at Saturday’s event, helping to forge new friendships across team loyalties and connecting fans across the league.
As for our trivia winners, they went home with some fantastic swag! Two t-shirts from True Rivalry, in addition to some customized discount codes for gear at their website, along with a gift card from Tavern United. To top things off, everyone in attendance went home with a gift thanks to a donation of custom Habs logo stickers from AG Event Graphics, based out of Sarnia, Ontario.
