Players to watch

  • Brendan Gallagher
    When one thinks of Gallagher they likely think of his uncanny ability to get under opponents skin – rarely giving fans a dull moment when he is in the opposing team’s end. On top of this, he leads the Canadiens offense with 16 goals, making him all that more irritating to the other team.
  • Brad Marchand
    Marchand has played a vital role in the Canadiens – Bruins rivalry for many years. Expect tonight to be no different. He leads the Bruins with 40 points.
  • David Pastrnak
    Pastrnak is just one point behind Marchand so if Brad doesn’t net one, David likely will.

Keys to Victory

  • Ride your goaltending
    Every victory for the Canadiens seems to largely depend on how their goaltending is. Their goals for average for the season so far has been just 2.5 while their goals against average has been 3.02. It is no secret that the Canadiens offense can be very much hit or miss so their goaltender keeping their goals against as low as possible is key.
  • Channel the emotion
    The rivalry will get the blood boiling. The Canadiens can’t take bad penalties.
  • Finish strong
    Both teams are coming off of a five-day break so tiredness isn’t a factor and it will likely come down to conditioning.
