- Michel Therrien on the Canadiens’ most recent loss to the Sharks: “We had a tough time getting engaged in this game. They were better than we were. Nights like these are going to happen. We have a very young team right now. There are nights that are going to be tougher than others. This was one of those nights.”
- After what many believed to be a disappointing trade deadline (only acquiring Mike Brown off waivers and Stefan Matteau via trade), followed by a loss to the Sharks, the Canadiens hope to rebound on their current California road trip against the Ducks. It will not be an easy task as both the Ducks and Kings are very good teams and the Canadiens are playing back to back games on Wednesday and Thursday.
