Players to watch

  • Max Domi
Domi has found a home in Montreal. He continues to thrive in all situations giving full effort every shift. He is unlikely to keep up at this pace but at the moment he isn’t  slowing down.
  • Noah Juulsen
Juulsen has become the real deal. With just shy of 20 minutes of ice time, he collected two assists, five hits and four blocked shots against the Isles. In a back to back situation, Juulsen should get some extra ice-time and will make the most of it..
  • Carey Price
Price will get the start against the Rangers. He has been good so far this season and has showed flashed of greatness. At MSG, he could have a statement game.

Keys to Victory

  • Use your speed
The Habs are going up against a very young team that are in the middle of a rebuild. Speed and lots of it will cause issues for the Rangers Montreal must be poised to take advantage.
  • Limit turnovers
Habs continue to hurt themselves with turnovers but again need to take advantage of a young team and force them to make turnovers.
  • Ensure a quick start
After falling behind 3-1 last game the Habs need to have a stronger start.

What to Expect by Sam Gerber
This will be the first back to back situation for Montreal this season. The coaching staff will be wise to spread the ice-time around, especially on the back end. The Habs may be going up against a team in the middle of a rebuild but they still have to face a world class goalie and a roster filled with NHL talent that is not to be taken lightly. If the Habs are going to be a play-off team this should be a game they not only win but win convincingly.
