  • Carey Price
    It is the 10th straight start for Price who has gone 6-2-1 since returning from injury. Price is looking forward to the outdoor game in Ottawa as he missed the 2016 NHL Winter Classic in Boston due to injury.
  • Daniel Carr
    Carr’s five game point streak came to an end against New Jersey but he has seven points in six games since his recall from Laval.
  • Alex Galchenyuk
    Despite being in and out of the Claude Julien doghouse, Galchenyuk has ten points in his last nine games.

Keys to Victory

  • Manage the conditions
    An outdoor game always yields challenges with respect to ice conditions, less lively boards and less than optimum lighting. The cold will be an additional factor for this game.
  • Keep the focus
    With all of the festivities connected to this game and deviations from routine, the Canadiens must focus on the task at hand keeping in mind that this is a very important contest to the standings.
