Pre-game Notes and Quotes
  • Steven Stamkos- “We were up 3-0 and they found a way. These guys did the same thing in round one, they were up 3-0, Ottawa won two games, they took care of business in Game 6. Hopefully we can do the same.”
  • Anton Stralman – “Nobody expected us to be up 3-0. We put ourselves in a real good position. They’re playing well and we obviously didn’t play well Game 4. We kind of gave that away, unfortunately. Tonight, I think we did a lot of right things out there. If we play like this we have a chance to win every game.”
  • The Canadiens pushed a series, in which they were down 3-0, to a sixth game, for the first time in franchise history.
  • Game 4 of this series was the first win for the Canadiens in Amalie Arena this year.
  • Victor Hedman – “I’d rather be up 3-2 than down. And we’re coming home now. It’s going to be a tough game but they have all been tough games.”
  • Devante Smith-Pelly’s first period goal Saturday night was his first of the postseason and his only goal in the past 13 games.
  • Max Pacioretty – “We have to make sure we stick to being focused because one bad shift and we’re out of this series, it’s great to have the energy and the momentum and the confidence. But there’s still no room for error.”
  •  Michel Therrien”For sure they’ve got more pressure, we’ve been there. You get a three-game lead you’ve got the pressure to close. And more it’s going, more they feel that pressure. We’ve been there in the first round and the fourth one is the toughest one because you’re meeting a team that’s really desperate.

  1. Need to break it down period by period. Win each 20 minutes. More hits, shots, face off, & goals. We want a game7. Let’s get this done and go home. We will go home, just not alone. Go Habs Go
