Pre-game Notes and Quotes
Captain Max Pacioretty on Mike Condon being named as the Canadiens’ Masterton Memorial Trophy candidate: “You don’t replace Carey Price, it’s impossible. All we can do is make sure we show up prepared to play our best and work our hardest. I think that’s why guys have respected Condo right from the start — they’d see him at the rink on off-days working hard, or in the trainer’s room making sure he was as good as he could be out there. Guys who have that kind of preparation get a lot of respect.”
Phillip Danault: “Are we excited for the season to end? That kind of sentence needs to be deleted from our vocabulary. This is our sport. In hockey it is normal to experience ups and downs. Our only focus should be on getting right back on the right track.”
Max Pacioretty remains the only player in the NHL to register a shot in every game his team has played in this season.
P. K. Subban and Carey Price are not predicted to make their return tonight, but both do plan on returning before the season is over
