Game Preview by Sam Gerber, Staff Writer
Last game: MTL 0 MIN 3
The Canadiens came up empty in a game where Carey Price, Shea Weber and Jonathan Drouin were all out with injuries. Charlie Lindgen was the only player who really stepped up in this game. But the Habs were unable to score a goal that was allowed and they were shutout once again this season.
Evander Kane
Kane is rumored to be one of the top players to be traded before the deadline this year. He is off to a great start with 16 points in 16 games, making his trade value even higher for the Sabres.
Alex Galchenyuk
Galchenyuk was the Habs best skater last game with a team high eight shots. Alex will look to turn in a strong effort again against the Sabres.
Joe Morrow
With Shea Weber out due to injury against the Wild, Morrow received more ice time. He was more confident, looked more comfortable on the ice and started to show his offensive side with four shots on goal.
Keys to Victory
Force the play
Habs need to challenge the Sabres rather than letting the play come to them.
Keep up energy level
The Canadiens need to take advantage of the Sabres playing the second game of a back to back.
Be physical on defense
Montreal must do a much better job preventing free access to their goal.
