Game Preview by Sam Gerber
Last game : MTL 1 DAL 4 F It was a penalty-filled game where the Habs went 0 for 5 on the power-play and only registered five shots. The Stars scored two power-play goals and one with penalty shot. The Habs can play a lot better and had an off night something they can’t afford to have if they want to reach the post season.
Jeff Petry
Petry was visible upset after the teams power-play struggles last game and you can understand his frustration Expect a bounce back performance from him.
Ryan Poehling
Poehling will make his season debut for the Canadiens. He will add size and strength up the middle.
Jonathan Drouin
Drouin has been a liability defensively in the past few games. Drouin disappeared in games against playoff teams last season. It will be a test for him tonight.
Keys to Victory
Execute on the power-play
The Habs have practiced the power-play this week. The power-play has been on the downturn the past five games reminding fans of last year’s mess.
Close out periods
The Habs continue to give up late goals to end periods. It’s time they start being more aggressive and have possession in the final minutes of the period.
Get under their skin The Habs have to get the Bruins best players off their game. Their first line alone is dominating the NHL and the Habs can’t afford to go toe to toe with them.

Claude Julien
“It’s going to be a big challenge for us tonight. They are three guys who know each other well, who have played together for several years and are able to find each other everywhere on the rink.”

What to Expect by Sam Gerber
The Habs had a successful road trip earning four out of a possible six points. A disappointing end to the trip should give the Habs a lot of motivation to make up for some missed points. The Bruins have been cruising through the league so far this season, losing only one game in regulation and have been scoring at will. They will be playing a back to back so the Habs should be ready to go.
