Game Preview by Sam Gerber
Last game : MTL 4 MIN 0 F Victor Mete finally scored his first goal of his career as did Nick Suzuki while Cousins got his first point with Habs and Price earned his first shutout of the season. The Habs played a complete game and limited their mistakes to a minimum. The Wild looked beat from the beginning and the Habs didn’t give them a chance to gain any momentum.
Nick Suzuki
After scoring his first career goal we expect Suzuki to gain confidence. Look for a more involved and energetic player today.
Jesperi Kotkaniemi
Kotkaniemi didn’t have the best game against the Blues last week. He played a team low 11:31 and had a tough day at the faceoff dot.
Shea Weber
Weber’s shot remains the most feared in the NHL. As Joel Eriksson Ek. Habs must play better down low on the power-play to enhance this weapon.
Keys to Victory
Start quickly
Its important to start the road trip with a win, the Habs know they can do it but the Blues are a different team at home and the Habs will have to get to them early.
Execute the game plan
Beating the Blues twice won’t be easy but it starts by executing the game plan, no bad penalties and a complete team effort.
Get to the net The Habs have to make Jordan Binnington’s night awful, bump into him, get into his crease, obstruct his view. He’s still a young goalie and the Habs have to get him more worried about them then the puck.

Claude Julien
“When you play the Stanley Cup champions, they’re always concerned that they’re going to be ready, especially at home. … We have to understand that it’s going to be a tough challenge, and we have to be at our best.”

What to Expect by Sam Gerber
Tonight’s game could be a preview of what to expect the rest of the season. The Habs have come out flat a few times this season after playing a great game before. Are the Habs finally going to hit their groove or is it going to be an up and down roller coaster ride all season? With the so and so start by a few Atlantic teams if the Habs could get on a roll they could find themselves near the top of the division ahead of the Leafs and Lightning..
