Game Preview by Sam Gerber
Last game : MTL 3 PHI 4 F/OT The Habs played a much better defensive game but the Flyers capitalized on mistakes. In overtime Ivan Provorov schooled Max Domi beating him clean and the Habs losing streak continued to seven.
Jeff Petry
Petry has had a string of bad games during the losing streak and hasn’t been looking himself. If it’s injury related it’s definitely effecting him and he needs to heal up. It likely isn’t and just a bad stretch of hockey that should be over soon.
Nick Suzuki
Suzuki is 7th in the rookie scoring race and has proved he is an NHL player. His confidence is sky high and when given space he is a threat not only to score but to set up a goal as well.
Brendan Gallagher
The Habs have to come up with some kind answer for this streak and Gallagher is the player that can give them a spark.
Keys to Victory
Eliminate mistakes
The Habs have to limit their mistakes against one of the best teams in the league if they want to get back in the win column.
Create traffic
Getting bodies near the Bruins crease is going to be big. The Habs have to be willing to take the punishment and will be rewarded.
Win special teams The Habs should not test their penalty-kill against one of the league’s best power-plays. In addition, Montreal has to execute much better when they have the man advantage.

Pre-game quotes
Brendan Gallagher
“The fans are emotional, they’re passionate. I think everyone knows that this team always plays good here. But it’s a really fun place, we’ve got some good memories here. Been able to have a little bit of success and it’s always with the same formula. Usually comes from our skating game, taking the fans out of the game and just enjoying it.”

What to Expect by Sam Gerber
The Canadiens losing streak has to stop sometime and why not against their biggest rival in their own rink. It’s not going to be easy. But if the Habs can get a win they could move back into the playoff conversation.
