Players to watch

  • Shea Weber
Weber has been great this season. In his home province he will set the tone to ensure that the team is ready for this difficult road trip.
  • Brendan Gallagher
Gallagher has been guilty of some bad penalties of late and has a lot of motivation to make up for those calls.
  • Artturi Lehkonen
Lehkonen is underappreciated for everything he does on the ice including creating scoring chances. With Max Domi mired in yet another deep slump the numbers for the line have been affected.

Keys to Victory

  • Be selective with shots
The Habs need to stop settling for perimeter shots and get into the slot to create high quality scoring chances.
  • Get a quick start
Last game the Habs got behind early and it was enough to cost them. A fast start is even more important with this being the first game of a long road trip.
  • Finish chances
When the Habs get their scoring chances they have to make them count.

What to Expect by Sam Gerber
The Habs are starting their annual West coast trip playing Canada’s 4 Western conferences teams before the holiday break. It’s a long road trip but the Habs have a number of players that are very familiar with living out west and this trip will feel like home to them. They desperately need to have a strong finish to the year and this road trip won’t be easy. Vancouver is currently tied with the Habs in points but have lost their last two games and will definitely be putting up a fight.
