Game Preview by Sam Gerber | |
Last game : MTL 8 DET 1 The Canadiens never took their foot off the gas, even after a five-goal second period. Tomas Tatar got the action started scoring on a breakaway against his former team but the Habs were powered by the Max Domi line. They were all over the ice, had their feet moving, crashing the net and even had the bounces going their way. Andrew Shaw was rewarded with his first NHL hat-trick, Domi had five points while Jonathan Drouin had four assists.

What to Expect by Sam Gerber |
With less than twenty games left to go, the Canadiens need every point they can get. If they don’t get the job done tonight, they could find themselves out of the playoffs by a single point. The Habs can’t take the Rangers lightly even though they seem to be rebuilding. The Habs have to play just like last game where they moved their feet, found the open guy and didn’t let up. |
