Game Preview by Sam Gerber
Last game : MTL 4 WSH 3 F/OT The Habs gave up a late lead once again but won to stop their losing streak. Ben Chariot scored two goals including the overtime winner. Shea Weber and Brendan Gallagher each had goals for the Habs proving their leadership to the team even when times are tough.
Shea Weber
Weber is not 100 percent after suffering an ankle sprain but wants to be part of his team. Weber was having an excellent season before the injury and will will give everything he has in the remaining games.
Karl Alzner
Gone but not forgotten Alzner will make his return to the Habs after injuries to the Habs blueline. Alzner has been a pro in the AHL and will have something to prove with this call up.
Ilya Kovalchuk
In what might and quite likely be his last game for the Habs its been a joy to watch him play, hopefully he has a few more surprises for the fans.
Keys to Victory
Start strong
The Habs can’t take the Senators lightly after losing to them already this season. A strong start will do wonders for the Habs.
Hold a lead
The Habs need to keep the lead once they get one. Far too many times this year, they’ve given up a late minute goal.
Play physical The Sens are led by Brady Tkachuk when it comes their physical play. The Habs have to be ready and not get pushed around tonight.

Pre-game quotes
Claude Julien
“[Karl Alzner] went to Laval with a great attitude; there’s absolutely nothing on the personal side with Karl that is an issue. The players are happy he’s back. Even us as a coaching staff, we’re glad that he’s getting another opportunity to come here. And hopefully he can help us out.”

What to Expect by Sam Gerber
This should be a surprisingly exciting game. Both teams with something to prove and chips on their shoulder should lead to some scrappy moments. The Habs are taking a risk and continuing to play Carey Price even though its better to rest him in games were he’s likely to be bumped.
