Players to watch

  • Ben Chiarot
Chiarot had two assists and was plus-3 last game. He made a key pinch at the blue line leading to the opening goal of the game. He had a slow start to the season but is now rounding into form.
  • Artturi Lehkonen
Lehkonen is one of the most underappreciated players in Montreal. He led the team in possession against the Capitals and was a key part of the Habs win against the best team in the NHL.
  • Keith Kinkaid
Kinkaid may get the start against his former team. Kinkaid has not had a good start to this season but will get a chance to build some confidence against one of the worst offensive teams in the league.

Keys to Victory

  • Get a quick start
A quick start to the game carrying the momentum over from last night’s game is key. It will get the fans involved early and allow Kinkaid to settle in.
  • Play shutdown defence
The Devils have only scored 46 goals this season but they still have some star talent that the Habs defense must silence.
  • Win battles
With both teams playing back to backs the third period will be a long one. Whichever team has a little more gas left in the tank and battles to the very end should come away with the win.

What to Expect by Sam Gerber
The Habs have to keep their momentum going. After a statement win against the top team in the league the Habs can’t let one of the bottom teams in the league beat them.
