Last game : MTL 4 ANA 1 Brendan Gallagher led the way for the Canadiens with a goal and two assists. Carey Price made 24 saves for his 22nd win of the season. Jonathan Drouin had three assists while Jesperi Kotkaniemi scored again making him the first 18 year-old Canadiens player to record a goal in three consecutive games. The Habs took advantage of a Ducks team that looked lost and beat from the start.

Players to watch

Shea Weber
Domi can be an impact player but often lets his emotions get the better of him. As Claude Julien said on the weekend, players like Domi need to realize that they are not only hurting themselves but hurting the team. Domi needs to focus on the job at hand.
Joel Armia
Armia, Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Artturi Lehkonen have been the Canadiens best line since the return from the bye week. Armia is strong on the forecheck and great at puck recovery. He creates chances for himself and his linemates.
Phillip Danault
Mete left last game early after taking an awkward hit from Milan Lucic and going head first into the boards. Fortunately, he was able to return to action. Mete has been caught trying to force the puck up the ice on his own a little too much and should be more cautious and make better decisions.

Keys to Victory

Defend well
The Canadiens defence has to be ready and be on the top of their game, the Jets are going to come in fast and hard. Getting the puck up the ice quickly will be a big factor.
Finish chances
The Habs have to make their chances count, any grade A chances have to go in the back of the net.
Win special teams
The Montreal penalty-kill will be tested and the Habs power-play has to be confident and continue what they have been doing the last few games.

What to Expect by Sam Gerber

The Jets are one of the most complete teams in the NHL and have just got their best defenseman back from injury. Dustin Byfuglien returns and does everything for the Jets that Weber does for the Habs. This game is the start of a stretch of games against the league’s top opponents for Montreal. Getting four of a possibly eight points is what is expected but the goal should be higher. If the Habs take it one game at a time and they play their style with a complete effort the Habs should have a chance to win every game no matter the opponent.
