Last game : MTL 4  PIT 1  F   The Habs woke up after a sluggish first period scoring three goals in the second. The period was highlighted by Shea Weber scoring a back-hand wrap-around goal something certainly surprising. In the last two games, Carey Price has only given up one goal giving the Habs a great chance at winning and a promising start to December.

Players to watch

  • Shea Weber
    Weber is having a great season and that has continued no matter his defensive partner. When paired with Ben Chariot, the two are similar in size and strength with  Chariot being comfortable as a stay home defenceman.
  • Ryan Poehling
    Poehling is back up with the Canadiens once again. He has been on a roll in Laval and will look to keep that going with the Habs.
  • Max Domi
    The Habs need more from Domi, much more. He put up a solid effort last season but the effort level has been lacking this year. Perhaps it is time to move him to the wing for good.  

Keys to Victory

  • Start fast
    The Habs need to have a strong effort right from the opening drop of the puck.
  • Show effort
    The Sens can’t be taken lightly and are always ready for a fight. They need to play with the effort that Brendan Gallagher showed racing to the puck for an empty net goal against the Penguins.
  • Focus on defence
     The Habs forwards can’t get caught too deep when the defence jump up and need to beat their man on the back-check.

 What to Expect by Sam Gerber
The Canadiens have won three of their last four. Two games that they should win are on tap against the Senators and Red Wings. That said, for a team that is rebuilding, the Senators aren’t far behind the Habs. The Atlantic division is tight with only nine points separating second from seventh.
