Post-game Chatter |
Coach Michel Therrien:
- “The biggest difference it was a defensive game as a unit of five. The first game we created a lot. It could have gone both ways. And we ended up losing the game. Tonight we were capable to create, we were capable to compete, capable to be first on pucks. We focused really well with a defensive game as a unit of five. That’s a good sign.”
- “Those young men [Eller, Galchenyuk and Gallagher] got better as [last] season went on. They picked up where they were. They are still getting better, learning about playing the game and competing. [They are] more responsible on both sides of the ice. It comes with experience too.”
- “It’s an inside competition. It’s pretty simple. If you perform well, you get ice time. Don’t perform as well and your ice time goes down. And it’s fair.”
