Post-game Chatter |
- “I don’t think that [the fourth line: White, Parros, Blunden] had five minutes 5-on-5 and they got scored on three times. To be polite, they got a really hard time tonight.”
- “I thought we played a solid game. I thought we deserved a better fate. It’s a tough one to lose, especially when they try to find a way to make a come back, end up losing the game.”
- “Our focus was not us. It’s not complicated. Our depth players did not respond they way they usually do and they got scored (on) three times. It took away our momentum.”
- “[The second goal against] was bad execution on (our) part. Usually it doesn’t happen but it happened on that play and [the Wild] scored.”
Captain Brian Gionta:
- “We didn’t play a full game. We had spurts where we did it and you saw that we were successful at that time, but this league is too tough. You’ve got to do it for 60 minutes to get wins.”
Wild coach Mike Yeo
- “Some guys need eight chances to score a goal, and some guys need one or two. [Pominville] is certainly a guy who’s capable of taking advantage of those opportunities.”
