• “We didn’t compete hard enough to get success for two periods and Carey gave us a chance to stick in the game. I thought we were a bit better in the third [period] before we took those two penalties but to be able to score some goals you got to compete and skate, and this is not what we did for two periods.”
• “We created some momentum in the third [period] because we got more urgency in our game, but I’m not impressed.”
• “Yes, I was surprised [at the slow start against a team that lost it’s star player yesterday.]”

• “This is a team sport, and we are going to move forward, obviously it’s a tough spot, but I thought we played well tonight and we could have easily scored more goals, but Carey Price was great. Whenever you see someone like that, saving their team, there’s going to be at least one where you have to come up big for your team, you think about matching the other goalie a bit.”
