Post-game Chatter |
- “Teams are really well-prepared. It’s a game of inches. [The Rangers] capitalized on their power-play. We got some chances on our power-play but we were not able to capitalize.”
- “A lot of credit to the way this game has been played. There’s no room out there. Coaches are doing a good job. Goaltenders are well-prepared. There’s not much room. There’s not much opportunity and when you have some, you have to try to capitalize on it.”
- “No.” (regarding a lack of urgency in the third period.)
- “[The Kreider – Emelin hit] was exactly the same type of hit (that Emelin sustained his injury.) I though [Emelin] gave us 16 minutes of solid hockey. For a first game, I was impressed. For his confidence (the hit) was the best thing that could have happened to him. [It was a] similar play and I was glad that he was capable to stand up and keep playing the game.”
Captain Brian Gionta:
- “[Price has] been that way all year and we’ve been talking about it all year. He’s given us a chance, and unfortunately we need to find ways to generate more pressure.”
Defenceman Alexei Emelin:
- “I felt good for a first game. It wasn’t too bad. I feel really strong. I didn’t have any problems tonight. When the team loses, it’s really bad. We need to create more pressure and have more shots.”
