GAMEDAY: All Habs Headlines
► The Canadiens continue to struggle in the face off circle.
As if the Montreal Canadiens were not struggling enough in the face off circle this season, they were 33 for 70 (32 per cent) Saturday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs, their lowest total of the season.
► Michel Therrien and Brian Gionta try to keep things positive:
- Michel Therrien tried to keep things positive this Monday in Tampa.
“Looking overall at the way we played since the beginning of the year, I was hoping we would have a little bit better record in the end we’re still in a good position. It’s going to be tight until the end of the year. We all understand that. We just have to start another winning streak tomorrow.” – Michel Therrien
“I like where our team’s at. There’s still room to grow, but I like our overall makeup and I like the way we play our system. If we continue to play like that, I like our chances.” – Brian Gionta
► Brendan Gallagher receives praises from Josh Gorges:
“I can’t say enough good things about Gally [Gallagher]. I said this from the moment he came to camp a few years ago – he’s a guy you want to have on your team. Watching him drive to the net and get his nose dirty. He’s going up there against 6-foot-4 guys, hacking and whacking and battling and, I mean, that’s the way hockey is supposed to be played. He is a young guy, but I don’t think he knows what he does for the other guys in the room that watch how hard he plays. It inspires guys to do the same.” – Josh Gorges
► Scoring Leaders:
- Lightning:
Steven Stamkos: 7G, 10A

Andrek Markov: 4G, 6A
