► Sweet home Montreal:
- The Montreal Canadiens return home following a road trip that saw them put together a record of 4-1-0 over their last five games on the road.
- Over the course of the entire road stretch which included one game at home, the Habs were 5-1-2.
- Since their famous 0-6 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs back on February 9, the Habs have only lost once in regulation and are 11-1-3.
► Milestone for Brian Gionta!
- In Sunday’s game agains the Florida Panthers, Brian Gionta reached a milestone with the Canadiens, playing in his 200th career game wearing the bleu blanc rouge sweater.
- He celebrated by scoring his ninth goal of the season and also added an assist.
- Gionta now totals 16 points on the season which ranks him sixth amongst all Canadiens players.

- When Michael Ryder came back to the Canadiens after being traded for Erik Cole, he already had 99 goals in the bank as a member of Montreal religious hockey hopefuls.
- On Sunday night against the Panthers, Ryder picked up his 100th and 101st goals as a member of the Canadiens while adding an assist.
- Ryder now has 6 goals and 17 assists for 23 points on the season, ranking him first on the Canadiens roster.
- He has 2 goals and 3 assists over his past two games.
► Rookie Watch:
- Sunday night against the Panthers, Brendan Gallagher picked up an assist and he now has 7 goals and 8 assists for 15 points on the season.
- As for Alex Galchenyuk, he was held of the scoresheet and still totals 3 goals and 10 assists for 13 points on the season.
- Respectively, they rank third and fifth amongst rookies in the league.

Michel Therrien:
“This was an exceptional trip for the team. I told the players today that even before tonight’s game this was already a good road trip for us, but this game was the chance for us to make it exceptional. I was very happy with the way we dictated the match tonight and played our game at our rhythm right until the very end.” said Therrien whose Canadiens picked up 25 out of a possible 30 points over their past 15 games. He also added, “We were well aware that this was a part of our calendar that could be difficult with the long trip and having to play six games in nine nights against good teams. This team has obviously developed some very good character. We’re a group that plays with a lot of responsibility and I really like what I’m seeing from our guys.”
Brian Gionta:
“This was a week that could potentially have really hurt us in the standings if we weren’t ready for it. When you have a long trip like this, you want to make sure it’s a successful one. We’re extremely happy with the result.”
Michael Ryder:
“It took me a little while to get adjusted. It definitely feels like I’ve been on the road for a little while. When I was with Dallas we were traveling, I came back for one game in Montreal, and then we were traveling again. The good thing is that it gave me the chance to get to know the guys a lot better and to start to feel comfortable. I’m getting used to the system now and I’m feeling a lot more comfortable on the ice.” said Ryder who had two goals and an assist against the Panthers. He went on to say, “Hopefully we can keep this going when we get back. This trip was good for the team and I think we did a lot of good things. Now that we’re heading home it’s important to make sure we keep playing the same way.”
