With wins expected to be at a premium for the Canadiens this season, the power-play can be the great equalizer. Coming into this game, Montreal had the 31st ranked power-play in the NHL with just one power-play goal in 24 opportunities this season. With two goals via the man advantage tonight, they have tripled their total. Cole Caufield and Juraj Slafkovsky scored on the power-play as part of a three goal second period for the Canadiens. After trailing 3-1 midway through this game, Montreal scored five unanswered goals on Jordan Binnington to take the lead for good. Christian Dvorak did all of the scoring for the visitors in the third period picking up his first three goals of the season for his only NHL hat trick. Up NextThe Canadiens will have a day off in St. Louis on Sunday and then continue their road trip with a game in St. Paul on Tuesday night.Plus▲ Christian Dvorak, Cole Caufield, Jordan Harris, Kirby Dach, Nick Suzuki, Josh Anderson, Johnathan KovacevicMinus▼ Arber Xhekaj, Jake Evans, Michael PezzettaGame PreviewCheck out the game preview here: Lineup Shuffle | PREVIEW: MTL @ STL |
