CANADIENS ASSIGN CHRISTIAN THOMAS TO BULLDOGS

MONTREAL, QUEBEC – Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have assigned forward Christian Thomas to the Bulldogs. The 21-year-old forward will make his season debut tonight for Hamilton after missing the first 14 games of the season due to injury.
Hamilton’s next game is scheduled for tonight, Friday, November 15th, when they will host the Lake Erie Monsters (AHL Affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche) at Copps Coliseum at 7:30 p.m.

MONTREAL, QUEBEC – Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Bulldogs have released forward Akim Aliu from his professional try out contract.
In 14 games with Hamilton this season, Aliu recorded four points (three goals, one assist) and 18 penalty minutes. The 24-year-old split last season between the Calgary Flames and Abbotsford Heat. In five regular season games with Calgary, he recorded no points and 14 penalty minutes. In 42 regular season games with Abbotsford, the Okene, Nigeria-born forward recorded 11 points (four goals, seven assists) and 111 penalty minutes. He was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the second round (56th overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
Hamilton’s next game is scheduled for Friday, November 15th, when they will host the Lake Erie Monsters (AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche) at 7:30 p.m. at Copps Coliseum.
