Habs Development Camp Part II, Begins Wednesday

12 players to take part in the second part of the Development Camp

MONTREAL — The Montreal Canadiens announced Monday that 12 players will participate in the second part of the Club’s development camp, set to take place from July 6-8, at the Bell Sports Complex, in Brossard.

The list of participating prospects includes all seven (7) players selected at the 2011 NHL Entry Draft which was held last June in Minnesota, three prospects from the organization as well as two players invited as a try-out.

The Canadiens prospects will first take to the ice on Wednesday, July 6, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The development camp consists of two on-ice training daily sessions at the Bell Sports Complex. All practices are open to the public. Off-ice conditioning sessions are also scheduled each day.

Nine of the 12 players at camp are Canadiens draft selections, including the club’s first selection from the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, defenseman Nathan Beaulieu.

Players participating in the second part of the development camp will be available to the media following the matinee practices on Thursday, July 7 and Friday, July 8 only, at noon (12 p.m.).
