Habs News | Montreal Canadiens Sign Forward Alex Belzile to One-year, Two-way Contract

MONTREAL, QC. — On Friday, the Montreal Canadiens announced that forward Alex Belzile had been signed to a one-year, two-way contract.

The deal has a value of $700,000 at the NHL level and $175,000 at the AHL level with a guaranteed salary of $200,000 for the Quebec native.

Belzile led the Laval Rocket this past season with 19 goals, 35 assists for 54 points and was named an AHL All-Star. 

The 27-year-old has played 168 games in the ECHL and has 219 career games in the AHL with Laval, San Antonio, and Hamilton. He was signed by the Laval Rocket as a free agent last summer.
