I just don’t see Gainey willing to giving up a substantial return (probably a solid roster player (Higgins or Komisarek come to mind), blue chip prospect and a 1st and probably a 2nd or 3rd round pick) for a rental player like Marian Hossa. I would love to see Hossa on a line with Saku Koivu but not at any cost and especially if they can’t sign him to a long term deal beyond this season.
