Habs Reassign Nathan Beaulieu to Bulldogs

MONTREAL, QUEBEC – Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have assigned defenceman Nathan Beaulieu to the Bulldogs.

Beaulieu has split this season between Hamilton and Montreal. In 54 games with Hamilton, the 6’2”, 194-pound defenceman has recorded 25 points (six goals, 19 assists) and 33 penalty minutes. In 17 games with Montreal, the Strathroy, Ontario native has recorded two assists and eight penalty minutes.

In 121 career American Hockey League regular season games with the Bulldogs, the 21-year-old has recorded 56 points (13 goals, 43 assists) and 96 penalty minutes. In 23 career National Hockey League games with the Canadiens, he has recorded four assists and eight penalty minutes.

Beaulieu was selected by the Canadiens in the first round (17th overall) in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Hamilton’s next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 12th when the ‘Dogs will host the Rochester Americans (AHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres) at FirstOntario Centre at 7:00 p.m.
