Palushaj recalled from Hamilton

MONTREAL – The Montreal Canadiens announced Wednesday evening that forward Aaron Palushaj has been recalled from the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs. Palushaj will join the Canadiens in Long Island, for Thursday’s game against the New York Islanders.
Assigned to the Bulldogs on February 6, the 22-year old forward leads the Bulldogs in scoring with 28 points (13 goals and 15 assists) in 30 games with Hamilton this season. He ranks second on the team in goals (13) and is tied for second in powerplay goals (5). Palushaj added 96 shots on goal and displays a +2 plus/minus differential.
In 17 games with the Canadiens this season, Palushaj notched one assist, his first career NHL point, on Sunday, February 5 against the Winnipeg Jets. The 5’11’’, 188 lbs forward recorded 12 shots on goal, four blocked shots and 13 hits, while averaging 7:02 of ice time per game.
A native of Livonia, Michigan, Palushaj was acquired from the St. Louis Blues in return for Matt D’Agostini on March 3, 2010.
