Canadiens recall Aaron Palushaj from the Hamilton Bulldogs

MONTREAL (February 3, 2012) – The Montreal Canadiens announced today that forward Aaron Palushaj has been recalled from the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs.
Assigned to the Bulldogs on December 4, the 22-year old forward leads the Bulldogs in scoring with 28 points (13 goals and 15 assists) in 29 games with Hamilton this season. He ranks tied for first on the team in goals (13) and powerplay goals (5). Palushaj added 96 shots on goal and displays a +2 plus/minus differential.
In 15 games with the Canadiens this season, Palushaj recorded seven shots on goal, four blocked shots and 11 hits, while averaging 6:36 of ice time per game.
A native of Livonia, Michigan, Palushaj was acquired from the St. Louis Blues in return for Matt D’Agostini on March 3, 2010.
