Forty players to take part in the Canadiens rookie camp
PRESS RELEASE
MONTREAL – The Montreal Canadiens announced Friday that 40 players will participate in the team’s rookie camp from September 5-9, at the Bell Sports Complex, in Brossard.
Eighteen (18) of the 40 players at camp are Canadiens draft selections. The group includes first-round picks Michael McCarron (2013), Nathan Beaulieu (2011) and Jarred Tinordi (2010). Thirty (30) of the 40 players also participated in the Canadiens’ 2013 development camp.
Players participating in the rookie camp will be available daily to the media (approx. noon), starting on September 6. A photo opportunity will be allowed to the media for part of the physical testing on September 5, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Annual golf tournament
The Canadiens will hold their annual golf tournament to benefit the Montreal Canadiens’ Children’s Foundation on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Club de golf Laval-sur-le-Lac (150, Les Peupliers, Laval-sur-le-Lac). Media availability with players and management will take place from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The shotgun start is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
Main training camp
The Canadiens’ main training camp will debut on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 as players will be reporting for medicals and physical testing at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard. Training camp will run until Monday, September 30, in preparation for the season opener against the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Bell Center on Tuesday, October 1, 2013.
