HALIFAX, NS. — Welcome to Habs Unfiltered via Rocket Sports Radio. This podcast featured on All Habs Hockey Magazine discusses topics that are important to Habs fans.
Our motto is, “If you’re talking about it, so are we.”
Habs Unfiltered is hosted by Trege Wilson and Blain Potvin, two sarcastic, goofy, sports-savvy characters from Canada’s east coast. Matt Smith has now joined the show as a regular co-host. All three are staff writers for All Habs Hockey Magazine.
A special note: This episode is the Habs Unfiltered Remembrance Day episode. All three hosts, Blain, Trege and Matt proudly serve full time in the Canadian Armed Forces. The boys ask that all their friends listening take a few moments this November 11th to remember the brave Men and Women who have volunteered to serve their nation. Some returned and were never the same, some paid the ultimate sacrifice, all provided their full measure in the service of freedom.
This week’s topics:
Segment 1:
- Are these Habs for real?
Segment 2:
- Under the Rocket’s Glare – A roundtable with the Rocket Sports team. This episode features Rocket Sports founder and All Habs Editor-in-Chief Rick Stephens as Rick and the boys discuss Carey Price, his record, the impact he has and will have on this franchise.
Segment 3:
- Defensive improvements? Defensive issues? Or all of the above?
- A special thank you to Trege who is deployed at sea on the HMCS Toronto. He could not join this episode but his sarcastic wit inspired us this week.
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
