MONCTON, N.B. – So far this season, the Montreal Canadiens have played 25 games and have a record of 16 wins, 5 losses and 4 overtime/shootout losses. They’re currently on a two-game winning streak and are ranked 1st in the Eastern Conference with 36 points.
The Canadiens will play three games during the week of Sunday, March 10 to Saturday, March 16, 2013. Listed below are some players to watch during the upcoming week:
Andrei Markov
Markov is currently on a three-game point streak with three assists. So far this season, this defenseman has racked up 16 points (5 goals, 11 assists) in 25 games.
Alexei Emelin
Emelin is currently on a two-game point streak with one goal and one assist. So far this season, this defenseman has a total of 9 points (2 goals, 7 assists) in 25 games. He is, however, leading the Canadiens with 88 hits.
Michael Ryder
Ryder has accumulated six assists in his last four games. So far this season, between the Dallas Stars and Montreal Canadiens, Ryder has racked up 20 points (6 goals, 14 assists) in 25 games.
Brendan Gallagher
In his last six games, Gallagher has produced six points (two goals, four assists). In fact, the two times he scored were both game-winning goals. So far this season, this rookie has 14 points (7 goals, 7 assists) in 21 games.

Sunday, March 10th – Montreal Canadiens at Florida Panthers
The Canadiens and Panthers have played each other twice so far this season with Montreal winning both games. Alex Galchenyuk was the only player to record a point in both games, while Andrei Markov, Raphael Diaz and Max Pacioretty all produced two points in their first encounter against Florida on January 22nd.
Wednesday, March 13th – Ottawa Senators at Montreal Canadiens
The Canadiens and Senators have faced each other three times so far this year with Ottawa taking two of those games. In those three games, Andrei Markov, Max Pacioretty and Raphael Diaz all recorded two points.
Saturday, March 16th – Montreal Canadiens at New Jersey Devils
The Canadiens and Devils have played each other once so far this season which was on January 27th. The Canadiens won that game 4-3 in overtime. Alex Galchenyuk tallied two assists in that game.
