All Habs Headlines: Thursday February 11, 2016

On this day in hockey history 1925 — Georges Vezina became the first goaltender in Montreal Canadiens’ history to win 100 career NHL games, as the Canadiens won 10-3 over the visiting Ottawa Senators.  1971 — Montreal’s Jean Beliveau scored three goals, including the 500th of his career, and added an assist as the Canadiens beat the Minnesota North Stars 6-2, at the Forum. It was Beliveau’s 18th (and final) NHL hat trick.  1988 — Edmonton’s Wayne Gretzky scored a goal and two assists to give him 101 points, making 1987-88 his ninth 100+ point season, a new NHL record.
