Bulldogs get the better of Marlies after AHL Outdoor Classic: The Hamilton Bulldogs beat the Toronto Marlies 4-1 tonight at Copps Coliseum, after a not-so-positive experience at the hands of the same Marlies a mere one week ago at Ivor Wynne Stadium.  They lost that game by a score of 7-2.

Garrett Stafford had a goal and an assist in the win, while Brian Willsie and Aaron Palushaj scored the other goals for the Bulldogs. Matt Frattin was the lone member of the Marlies who got on the scoreboard.

The ‘Dogs are heading over to Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland tonight to take on the Lake Erie Monsters at 7:30 p.m. EST. All Hamilton Bulldogs games can be heard live on AM 820 CHAM or seen live on ahllive.com beginning with the Pioneer Pre-Game Show 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.

Columbus to host 2013 All-Stars: The Columbus Blue Jackets currently sit dead-last in the 30-team NHL and will have an excellent shot at landing the first overall draft pick at the upcoming NHL Entry Draft.  More good news was delivered on Saturday by Commissioner Gary Bettman when he announced that Columbus will be the host of the 203 All-Star festivities.
