► Archambault, Ellis lead the way: After facing one another Thursday night in a game that saw the Drummondville Voltigeurs beat the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles 5-1, Eagles’ captain Morgan Ellis blasted his third goal of the season past Blainville-Boisbriand goaltender William Racicot on Saturday night while Olivier Archambault‘s fifth goal of the year and five shots on net helped his team beat the P.E.I. Rocket 4-3 in overtime Sunday afternoon.

► Tinordi injured: London Knights’ captain Jarred Tinordi suffered an eye injury in a fight on Friday night when facing the Erie Otters and more specifically, as noted in the above YouTube video, Johnny McGuire’s right fist.  According to the latest update from the London Free Press, he can see out of the eye but will be re-evaluated this week.

► Subban taking heat: P.K. Subban has struggled out of the gate with a team-worst minus-3 rating. It has led to some to suggest that Subban needs to take a more team-oriented approach.

“One thing everyone has to learn, including P.K., is to not to overextend yourself. There’s a time and a place for flash and when there’s no open ice, there’s not. We’re going to get better and he’s going to get better. There’s no reason to panic.” — Josh Gorges on P.K. Subban
