All Habs Headlines: Tuesday January 19, 2016

On this day in hockey history 1975 — Pittsburgh’s rookie defenseman Colin Campbell scored the first goal of his NHL career, in a 3-2 win over the Washington Capitals, in Landover, Maryland.  1991 — Vince Damphousse scored 4 goals in an 11-5 Campbell Conference win over the Wales at the NHL All Star Game in Chicago. Wayne Gretzky scored to become the all-time leader in All Star Game Goals (breaking Gordie Howe’s record of 10 goals).  1996 — NHL Board of Governors approved the sale of the Winnipeg Jets, officially clearing the way for the team to move to Phoenix, Arizona in time for the 1996-97 season.
