- This suspension puts an unfortunate black eye on an otherwise remunerative career that’s seen him play 994 games and go to a Stanley Cup final in 2005-06.
- Horcoff, never a team’s most proficient scorer, has a career-high in points of 73 in that 2005-06 season that saw the Oilers lose to the Carolina Hurricanes in games seven of the Stanley Cup final.
- The centreman was in and out of the Ducks lineup with the acquisition of Ryan Garbutt significantly limiting his playing time.
- Horcoff offered this reasoning, “While recovering from an injury I suffered this past fall, I tried a treatment that I believed would help speed up the healing process.” He went on to hold himself accountable.
