On this day in hockey history… 1971 – Montreal Canadiens called up rookie goalie Ken Dryden from their farm club in the AHL. The rookie would win all 6 of his games, then lead the Canadiens to a surprise Stanley Cup championship.

►Pacioretty reaches milestone despite loss: By scoring his 27th and 28th goals of the season last night against the Calgary Flames, Max Pacioretty, whose infamous devastating injury happened one year ago tomorrow, was able to reach the 100-point plateau.
He also figures 12th in the NHL for goal-scoring, which has him tied with former Hab Michael Ryder, Daniel Sedin, Jason Spezza and Matt Moulson, who have all played at least two games more than Pacioretty. Only ten players in the league currently have 30 goals or more.
Pacioretty is on pace for 35 goals this season, which would make him the first Canadiens’ player to reach that mark since Alex Kovalev in 2007-08.
►Archambault to return Friday: After being out since late January with a concussion, Canadiens’ fourth-rounder Olivier Archambault of the Drummondville Voltigeurs is poised to re-enter his squad’s lineup in two days. He will face the last team he played before being injured, the Quebec Remparts, as the Volts hope to break the winning streak currently held by Patrick Roy’s club.

►Clear day rosters released: The Hamilton Bulldogs, as well as the 29 other American Hockey League teams, released their Clear Day Period lists yesterday. Each list, featuring a maximum of 22 players, display those eligible to participate in the rest of their team’s regular season (and playoffs, if applicable). Nine of the following members of the Bulldogs’ Clear Day roster are either up with the Canadiens or injured:

While Gabriel Dumont was able to return from his concussion sustained against the Rockford IceHogs this week, Dany Massé remains out with a broken finger, Olivier Fortier and Alex Henry have lower body injuries, and Joe Callahan and Garrett Stafford each sustained hits of the questionable variety and have yet to return to action. The Bulldogs’ next game is this Friday night against the Toronto Marlies, getting underway at 7:30 p.m. EST.
