On this day in hockey history1995 — Quebec Nordiques announced that their franchise would be moving to Denver, Colorado.  2000 — Florida Panthers signed free agent Igor Larionov. 2002 — New York Rangers signed free agent Bobby Holik.  2003 — Philadelphia Flyers signed free agent goaltender Jeff Hackett, who was with the Habs prior to the signing.
