The Senators need a harder nosed coach who will earn immediate respect when he walks into the dressing room and Pat Burns certainly has both of these qualities.
The only concern I would have is that Mr. Burns really stresses defense first which isn’t a bad thing especially the way the Sens played defense in the second half of the season. Their defensive zone coverage was absolutely horrendous and Burns will hold his players accountable for their deficiencies.
The Sens offensive creatitivity could suffer with a Burn’s system in place but as the old saying goes, “defense wins championships” and hockey isn’t any different!!!
