The injury spotlight that was focused on Johan Franzen early in this series now shifts to Tomas Holmstrom. Coach Mike Babcock said in his Thursday press conference Holmstrom wasn’t feeling good after the game after being drilled by Penguins defenseman Hal Gill late in the third period Wednesday during the Penguins 3-2 victory. Babcock said he hadn’t spoken to Holmstrom yet Thursday. Holmstrom has a lower body injury and there’s speculation it could be a knee. Holmstrom wasn’t available to the media Thursday. It’s not known yet whether Holmstrom will be ready to practice Friday when the Wings return to the ice. The Wings didn’t skate Thursday.
