Montreal said goodbye to Artturi Lehkonen, Brett Kulak and Andrew Hammond. And they welcomed David Savard back into the lineup from injury. Following the NHL trade deadline, the Canadiens hosted a longtime bitter rival. The Bruins are top-10 in the NHL while the Habs are dead last. Yet, it was a very competitive game. The first period was a dud for the home team, perhaps mentally taxed from the events of the day. The next 40 minutes was much more evenly played. While the Bruins shot at will from all over the ice, high-danger scoring chances were 7-6 for the final two periods in regulation plus overtime. That said, this was a game where the Canadiens appeared to be chasing the play. Boston was the team with more energy and drive throughout the match. Joel Armia scored on a short-handed breakaway and Savard recorded his second goal of the season. The Canadiens came up short on the scoreboard but this day was all about the future. And Habs fans should be very encouraged by the moves made in the lead-up to the trade deadline. Up NextThe Canadiens will welcome Ben Chiarot and the Florida Panthers on Thursday night at the Bell Centre.Plus▲ Jake Allen, Paul Byron, Jake EvansMinus▼ Rem Pitlick, Laurent Dauphin, Christian Dvorak, Jonathan Drouin, Mike Hoffman, Cole Caufield, Jeff Petry, Corey SchuenemanGame PreviewCheck out the game preview here: A Good Test | PREVIEW: BOS @ MTL |

salut-bien chers amis allhabs,
tough to play the game tonite.
thoughts/emotions are elsewhere eh?
quelques impressions?
jake allen kept the game close.exceptionnel.
boston was very “strong on the puck”.carried the play most of the game.very impressif.and very physical too!
they were able to neutralise our speed/skill.they played the body on us all nite long.we did not return the favour too much.
other than our fearless pezzettaCH55 we were merely targets.
our speed/skill players got a taste of future strategies to contain/neutralise them?
we have to play/fight thru the physical play and return the favour.”hit-back”.cannott back-down from it.cannott let other teams push us around.otherwise we are done!
how does one slow down the track-meet?
with enough speed/skill and lots of physical play!
we better get used to it.it will be coming in waves from the opposition.the scouting report on the habs?play the body!!!
merci pour l’ecoute
portez-vous tous bien
familleCH,toujours
ps,lehkonenCH62?would have never traded him away!!!
