Scott Walford is an underrated two-way defender who always plays to his strengths and focuses on the defensive side first. Much like Shea Weber, he always makes the safe play in the defensive zone.
He excels at boxing out the crease, allowing his goalie to see the shot. Walford uses his size and reach to separate attacking forwards from the puck, and enjoys playing a physical style.
Walford has an underrated shot that is hard and accurate. Additionally, he is a reliable defender both in the defensive and offensive zones, using his good vision to see all areas of the ice well.
