Is Maxim Trunev WHL Bound?

An excerpt from Habprospects.com (montrealdan):

At this time it’s unknown if Trunev will actually report to the Winterhawks but it would appear to be very likely since he was taken so high, has a previous relationship with the Head Coach of Portland, and Trevor Timmins did say at the draft they he was interested in coming over with several teams expressing interest in bringing him to the CHL. But the proof will come at the end of August in two months when camp gets under way for the Hawks. Portland certainly has had its share of problems over the last couple of season’s, that saw another former Hab draft pick Cameron Cepek suite up for the club, so hopefully the young winger who was just eight days away from being eligible for the 2009 Entry Draft will be able to help the team get back to it’s winning ways.
