Game Preview
A Look Back
Jake Allen had a good game while Jonathan Drouin had one of best games of the season but it was overtime troubles that continued to haunt Montreal. The Habs are showing more effort and determination but have to stop being a perimeter shooting team.
Josh Anderson
Anderson is a game-time decision but may make his much needed return to the line up. He is unlikely to be 100 percent but his presence in the game has been missed.
Joel Armia
Armia has been playing very well under Dom Ducharme and could be rewarded tonight with a promotion to the second line.
Jesperi Kotkaniemi
Kotkaniemi may be flanked by the Habs top two scorers something he has never had a chance to do.
Keys to Victory
Create traffic
The play of Hellebuyck has been one issue for the Habs this week. They need to have a constant net presence and make life difficult for him.
Limit turnovers
The Jets are finding their groove and are a team that only needs one opportunity to change the game. Habs need to do a much better job limiting turnovers not giving the Jets anything.
Win special teams The special teams are making slow improvements but have a long way to go to come up in the rankings.

Pre-game Quotes
Dominique Ducharme
“Josh (Anderson) brings a lot to our team. He’s a guy who skates and he plays physical. He’s talented and he can score goals. We saw that in the past. He usually has strong starts to games, which is good for us..”

Game Expectations
The Habs have lost all three matchups to the Jets so far, earning just two out of a possible six points. The one good thing during this Habs slump is that they still find themselves in a playoff spot and could be only three points back of the Jets with the games in hand differential.
Bottom Line
That’s what makes this game so important, the final playoff spot is going to come down the end do the season and the Habs need to get as many points now before they have to play even more catch up.
