The Canadiens confirm that left winger Guillaume Latendresse will be out of the lineup for 4-6 weeks with a shoulder injury. He was injured Sunday when he lost his balance while chasing a puck into the corner and slammed into the boards.

Latendresse separated his left shoulder when he fell awkwardly into the boards after he collided with Bruins’ Chuck Kobasew. Latendresse should be back into action in early March.

Gui has nine goals and nine assists in 43 games this season with the Habs. His absence means Max Pacioretty will stay at least one more month with the Canadiens. Pacioretty has played very well since his recall from Hamilton. In the last game he played on a line with Max Lapierre and Sergei Kostitsyn.

Patrice Brisebois, who is suffering from a lower body injury, missed practice for a third consecutive day. Christopher Higgins also skipped practice with what the club described as a therapy day.
